NestyNote Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-08-02
NestyNote (“we,” “us,” or “our”) helps parents and caregivers log notes and events. This policy explains what information is collected, why it is used, and how it is handled.
1. What we collect
- Account information: Email address, optional display name, and authentication information. Password authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication; we do not receive your password in readable form.
- Child profiles and app content: Information you choose to enter, such as a child’s name and birth date, feeding, nursing, sleep, diaper, medicine, measurement, and other event records, notes, and photos or other attachments.
- Sharing information: Email addresses used to invite or manage caregivers who share access to a child profile.
- Technical and security information: Firebase services may process information such as IP address, user agent, device or app information, and operational logs to provide, secure, and protect the service.
2. How we use data
- Create, authenticate, and secure your account.
- Store, sync, display, edit, share, and delete the content you choose to add.
- Provide collaboration features to caregivers you authorize.
- Troubleshoot problems, maintain reliability, and improve NestyNote.
- Prevent abuse, maintain reliability, and comply with legal obligations.
3. Service providers and processing
NestyNote uses Google services, including Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Cloud Storage for Firebase. These providers process information on our behalf to operate and secure the app.

Information may be processed in the United States or other countries where Google or its service providers operate. Those countries may have data-protection laws different from those where you live.
4. Sharing
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not use your child-profile content, notes, events, or photos for advertising.
- We share information with service providers only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the app.
- Content may be shared with caregivers only when an authorized user enables sharing.
- We may disclose information if required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, users, or the service.
5. Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted network connections, Firebase Authentication, and access controls on stored data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Retention
- Account and app content is generally retained while your account or a shared child profile remains active.
- When you delete an event, child profile, or account, associated active data is deleted as part of that process, subject to limited backup, security, fraud-prevention, and legal retention needs.
7. Your choices
- You can view, edit, and delete your notes and events in the app.
- You can manage caregiver access to shared child profiles.
- You can delete your account in the app. This begins deletion of your account information and content controlled by that account.
- Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of personal information. Contact us to make a request.
8. Children
NestyNote is designed for parents and caregivers and is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum age required to use online services in their region. Adults may enter information about children when using the app. If you believe a child has created an account without appropriate authorization, contact us.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our practices or legal obligations change. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date.
