Chable Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Chable collects, uses, and shares information when you use the app.
1. Information we collect
Account information
- Email address and authentication credentials used to create and access your account (handled via Firebase Authentication).
Gameplay and profile data
- Company profile details such as company name, motto, and optional logo.
- Portfolio records including acquired stores, chain names, purchase cost, debt terms, and timestamps.
- Bank and economy records including cash balance, transaction history, and starting-cash settings derived from app configuration.
Location data
- Current location is used when running scans for nearby businesses.
- Chable uses this location to retrieve nearby place data from OpenStreetMap/Overpass services.
- We do not store continuous location tracking history.
Admin and content data
- Official and queued business records (names, categories, financial templates, and metadata) managed through the admin console.
- Optional CSV import/export files processed by admins for queue updates.
Technical and diagnostic data
- Basic logs and error details may be used to diagnose crashes, failed scans, and service reliability issues.
2. How we use your information
- Provide core gameplay features (scanning, matching, acquisitions, portfolio management).
- Synchronize your data across signed-in devices.
- Maintain official business datasets and admin moderation workflows.
- Improve reliability, performance, and support response quality.
3. Information sharing
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We use service providers needed to run the app, including Firebase services and third-party map/place APIs.
- Data may be shared when required by law or to protect the app, users, or infrastructure.
4. Where data is stored
- Firebase Authentication for account access.
- Cloud Firestore for gameplay state, queue data, and configuration.
- Firebase Storage for user-uploaded media (for example, company logos), when applicable.
5. Your choices
- Control location permissions through device settings.
- Update or remove editable profile data inside the app.
- Contact support to request help with account or data concerns.
6. Data retention
- We keep data while your account remains active and as needed to provide the service.
- Data may remain in routine backups for a limited period after deletion requests.
7. Children
Chable is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region).
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised date.
